Customer Information System (CIS)/Terms of Use

Thank you for the interest you have shown in our website and/or Customer Information System. The following terms apply to use of the Customer Information System (CIS) and our online offering.

We take protection of your personal details very seriously. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to inform you about data protection in our company. Please carefully read the terms of use and our data protection information.

Access details

The access details are exclusively intended for your personal use. You are not authorized to pass the access details to third parties or to otherwise disclose them.

Should you become aware of misuse of your access details or even merely suspect such misuse, you are obliged to immediately inform AES Airplane - Equipment & Services GmbH (hereafter referred to as AES). You will be liable for any consequences of third-party use if you are responsible for abuse of the access details. This may also lead to the payment of compensation for unauthorized amendments. Your liability will only cease when you have notified AES of unauthorized use or loss of the access details and the password has been changed as necessary.

Furthermore, AES shall remain entitled to temporarily or permanently block access details in the event of violations of these terms of use and/or to withdraw your access with immediate effect or with a notice period at AES’s discretion and/or to exercise extraordinary termination of the usage agreement without notice. The same shall apply in all cases of abuse and damage or impairment to ability to function. After such a case you are not entitled to use the system again without AES’s prior express consent. AES expressly reserves the right to assert claims for damages.

Privacy statement

Naturally we comply with the statutory provisions of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG), the respective Land data protection acts and the Telemedia Act (TMG), and all other provisions of data protection law.

You can trust us with your personal details. They are encrypted using digital security systems and transmitted to us. Our website and servers are protected against damage, disruption, or unauthorized access.

Data protection subject

The subject of this statement is personal data. According to section §3 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act, this is individual details about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or determinable natural person. This includes information such as name, postal address, e-mail addresses or telephone numbers, including, as applicable, usage data such as your IP address.

General data protection information

If you access AES Customer Information System (CIS) or download data from these pages, it is possible that we will store in a log file and process information about this. This process is anonymous. It is not possible to identify you.

We store: Your IP address, the date and time you accessed the site, the pages you viewed or the name of the file you downloaded, the volume of data transmitted and the report whether the access/download was successful or not.

This data is not used for commercial purposes. It is analyzed purely for statistical purposes and to improve our Internet service. We will create user profiles using a pseudonym for this purpose. No link is created between the person behind the pseudonym and the usage data collected. Your data is deleted after it has been used in this way. Permanent storage is excluded. You may refuse this collection, storage and processing of data at any time.

The data about you that we have collected will be used exclusively by us. It will not be forwarded to third parties without your consent. You may refuse permission for its use and processing at any time.

We use what are known as “cookies” to collect and store data. Cookies are small packages of data that we cause your browser to store on your computer. They do not cause any harm. They do not contain viruses and do not let us spy on you. There are two types of cookies: on the one hand there are temporary cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser (session cookies). On the other there are permanent cookies which have a maximum lifespan. This type of cookie means that having left a website, when you revisit it you are recognized again. With the help of cookies it is possible for us to track your usage behavior for the above purposes and to a corresponding extent. They should also optimize your visit to our website and make browsing it easier. This data is also collected in an anonymized and pseudonymized form. You can set your web browser so our cookies cannot be stored on your computer or cookies that have already been stored are deleted.

Scope of data collection and storage

In general you are not required to provide personal details in order to use our website. We do occasionally, however, require your personal details so we can actually provide our services. In particular this applies to responding to individual enquiries.

If you instruct us to provide a service, basically we only collect and store your personal details insofar and as long as required to render the service or fulfill the contract. To do this it may be necessary to pass your personal details on to companies that we use to provide the service or fulfill the contract. These include carriers or other service providers.

After the contract has been fulfilled, your details will be blocked and deleted once the tax and commercial law requirements have expired, unless you have expressly agreed to further use of your details.

Of course if you wish we will provide you with information about the recipients of the data, as well as the nature and scope of the data transmitted.

Collection and storage of usage data

We collect and store data, such as the data and time you visited the site, the link you used to reach our website, and similar, to optimize our website as necessary. This is anonymous, without personally identifying the site user. We can create user profiles using a pseudonym for this purpose. Restricted use of data

We adhere to the principle of restricted use of data and collect, process and store your personal details only for the purposes for which you have provided it. We also only transmit data to government institutions and authorities authorized to collect such data to the extent obliged by statutory duties of information, or when we are obliged to provide information because of a court order.

We also take data protection within the company very seriously. We bind our employees and the service companies to which we subcontract to secrecy and to comply with the provisions of data protection law.

Right to information and right of withdrawal

You can obtain from us information about the data we have on file about you at any time, free of charge, without giving reasons.

At any time you can cause the data we have collected about you to be blocked, corrected or deleted.

You can also withdraw the consent you have given us to collect and use data at any time, without giving reasons.

I have noted the terms of use for the Customer Information System (CIS) and the data protection information and hereby give my consent to AES Airplane-Equipment & Services GmbH processing and storing my personal details (surname, first name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth) within the scope of operational necessity. Usage data about use of the online offering may also be stored in anonymized form.

The collection, storage, transmission and use of my data in AES Airplane-Equipment & Services GmbH’s data processing systems is permitted as dictated by operational necessity as stated in the terms.

I also consent to use of the data for accounting purposes.

Use of the data for statistical purposes is only permitted if any reference to me is excluded (anonymized).
